SAFETY

Fall Fires

Be careful during late summer drought season and fall season with fire. If burning large amounts of material, call 270-393-4000 to let the local fire department know.

LOCK

Lock vehicles and homes, and close garages. In the past we have been targets of theft of items from vehicles. Occasionally unknown people are seen circling through neighborhood.

REPORT

Report suspicious activity to Warren County Sheriff's Office (270-842-1633) or Kentucky State Police (270-782-2010)

WATCH

Watch for children and animals while driving. Vehicles parked in street can limit visibility.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Be careful where you share your address on social media, and how much of your personal life is shared. Scammers and other criminals are known to pose as family members and friends to try to lure personal information from their targets.

SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING

Above all, if you see something out of the norm that makes you feel unsafe, say something!

Summer Mowing

Don't leave grass in the road after mowing. Grass prevents tires from vehicles in making contact with the road. This can cause the vehicle to skid when trying to stop, and endangers children at play.

ANIMALS

Use leashes, or contain owned animals on own property. Report lost or found pets via social media. Pick up dog droppings out of courtesy to other home owners.
